Australia, the driest continent, experiencing climate change<\/span> like other parts of the world<\/span>.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”9px”][vc_column_text]I decided <\/span>on<\/span> Australia because I like summer, high temperatures and spending days under the hot sun, in shorts and going to sleep with tan shoulders. \n\t\u201c19 degrees Celsius doesn\u2019t convince me that we\u2019re in the middle of summer.\u201d<\/h2>[\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]I\u2019m sitting by Lake Alexandrina, a large lake, which serves as a gateway for the longest river on the island<\/span>, leading<\/span> to the ocean. Murray River runs through three states, regions. Its source is in the Australian Alps<\/span>,<\/span> and in 2.508km<\/span> it<\/span> runs through New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia, where<\/span>, through Lake Alexandrina<\/span>, it<\/span> runs into the Great Australian Bight, which is a part of the Indian ocean. I stopped here to enjoy nature <\/span>a<\/span>nd see how people live in the old port town of <\/span>Milang<\/span>.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row css=”.vc_custom_1534765729380{padding-top: 38px !important;padding-bottom: 36px !important;}”][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve slowly had enough of this. Everything. Travelling.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Looking for something that doesn\u2019t exist.<\/span><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]I\u2019m cold. 19 degrees Celsius doesn\u2019t convince me that we\u2019re in the middle of summer. In the last two weeks, I\u2019ve only worn shorts three times. The first time since November, when I volunteered in <\/span>Yuendum<\/span>u<\/span> (link) near the Tanami Desert. \n\tA lot of shells are hidden in the sandstone<\/h2>[\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]In Alice Springs, where it almost never rains, I saw a rainbow in December. Three days <\/span>ago,<\/span> there was a heat wave in Adelaide, with 42 degrees, followed by a two-day water bomb. The feel of the tropic on the skin. Everywhere I visit, it rains. And everywhere I visit, they tell me that it usually doesn\u2019t rain <\/span>t<\/span>here. Everything. Traveling. Looking for something that doesn\u2019t exist. The eternal summer and nice temperatures. I came to Australia with summer dresses<\/span>, shorts and summer clothes. I soon filled my wardrobe with warm clothing and long sleeves, which I haven\u2019t really parted with in a year. I\u2019ll admit, if I had lived all 12 months in one place, I would have experienced nicely warm and high temperatures all year round. Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast come the closest.
