Even multi-million cities. Like Brisbane. Especially if it\u2019s the last stop before a 10-day vipassana meditation. I am before a huge life experience, one that I\u2019ve been dreaming of for the last few months.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row css=”.vc_custom_1534768281059{padding-top: 58px !important;}”][vc_column css=”.vc_custom_1534768398573{padding-right: 6px !important;}”][vc_single_image image=”8443″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center” css=”.vc_custom_1579418464630{padding-bottom: 0px !important;}”]

\n\t``I\u2019ve been amazed by Brisbane the moment I had taken a walk by the river with the same name. A large city that breathes.``<\/h2>[\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]I\u2019m in love. I\u2019ve been amazed by Brisbane the moment I had taken a walk by the river with the same name. A large city that breathes, surrounded by skyscrapers that reach up towards the blue sky. Underneath, green parks, playgrounds, running and bicycle tracks, a climbing wall, and countless spaces for outdoor picnics and hanging out. Hanging out in a city where you can lay in the grass and watch the business center of town from afar, present in that moment when you need it. A city where nature hasn\u2019t been forgotten. Where angsty business men don\u2019t run into you on the streets because they\u2019re incredibly late for a meeting. A city where you can breathe freely despite its immenseness.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row css=”.vc_custom_1534765729380{padding-top: 38px !important;padding-bottom: 36px !important;}”][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n

I would give anything to work here.<\/p>\n

Everything\u2019s close by.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]A lot of Slovenians live here. In the center as well as the suburbs. Some have been living here for years, some for only a few months. Everyone loves the city. Just like me. I would give anything to work here. Everything\u2019s close by. The coast is a few kilometers away, countless possibilities for activities, business opportunities and nature. This is what captivates me the most. Only a short drive away, many hiking trails and volcanic cones that wait for you to climb them. Islands with indescribably beautiful beaches and wreckages at the bottom of the ocean. Wonders that call upon you to stay.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row css=”.vc_custom_1534768281059{padding-top: 58px !important;}”][vc_column css=”.vc_custom_1534768398573{padding-right: 6px !important;}”][vc_single_image image=”8444″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center” css=”.vc_custom_1579419519150{padding-bottom: 0px !important;}”]

\n\t``I\u2019ve been amazed by Brisbane the moment I had taken a walk by the river with the same name.``<\/h2>[\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Its fine weather, sunny days and pleasant temperatures make Brisbane a Mecca for Australians as well. They migrate here in masses, which in turn quickly shrinks the green planes of mangroves. Winter is coming. They say it officially arrives on the first of June. They obviously don\u2019t care much about the solstice or the equinox. Cold nights, chilly mornings, sunny days and the sun that burns you if you forget to put on sun screen with a high factor in the morning. I\u2019ll admit, I didn\u2019t expect the cold. Not even a little. I don\u2019t have any warm clothes with me. I\u2019m going to a warm place after all, a tropical place where they only know sunny days and warm temperatures. The temperatures don\u2019t fall as low as here in rainy Cairns, so I won\u2019t bother with warm sweaters and thick socks.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Do you wanna know how was my first month in Cairns?[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row css=”.vc_custom_1534771917857{padding-top: 10px !important;}”][vc_column][vc_column_text]I\u2019m slowly learning how not to worry myself with unnecessary problems. Like Australians. It\u2019s true, they know how to enjoy life and are completely unburdened. I\u2019m finding out that it\u2019s not because they know how to find their peace, or deal with circumstances they are living in and find solutions. When they face an obstacle, a challenge that\u2019s not even a challenge, a different or opposite opinion, they simply retreat. Walk away. Turn their backs. Close the door. And forget they were even facing a problem. They don\u2019t need to take a deep breath. While they close the door, they\u2019re already flirting with a new adventure that awaits them on the path that leads the other way.
